Business Development Manager - Clean Energy

Role Overview

RMA Energy is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our clean energy initiatives. This role will focus on developing business opportunities, leading project proposals, and managing client and stakeholder relationships to drive sustainable growth in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full cycle of project proposals and bidding, ensuring high-quality, competitive submissions.
• Develop, manage, and expand the project pipeline, including profitability analysis, customer relationship management, and long-term business growth planning.
• Provide regular project status updates, reports, and strategic insights to the Head of Clean Energy and executive leadership.
• Lead cross-functional and international teams in the identification, evaluation, and development of new project opportunities.
• Conduct and supervise site surveys, financial modeling, and feasibility assessments to support investment decisions.
• Manage project scope, costs, schedules, and vendor/subcontractor relationships across diverse contract structures to ensure timely and profitable delivery.
• Prepare professional reports, papers, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields; MBA or Masters degree preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in project or business development.
• Experience in renewable energy or the power sector strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering processes, tools, and contractual frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and backgrounds.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English (minimum TOEIC 750 or equivalent); additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and work upcountry or overseas as required.
