Role Overview
We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager (Hunter Profile) to drive new revenue growth in Thailand and regional markets.
This is a pure hunting role - focused on acquiring new clients, building pipelines from zero, and closing deals in the payments and fintech space. You will not be managing existing accounts; your success is measured by your ability to open doors, win new business, and generate revenue.
The ideal candidate has strong experience selling payment solutions (e.g., cross-border payments, FX, PSP, gateways, collections) and is comfortable engaging decision-makers across SMEs, corporates, fintechs, and platforms.
Job Requirements:
- Own and drive new business acquisition to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Proactively prospect and generate leads through outbound efforts, networking, and industry channels
- Build and maintain a strong, self-generated sales pipeline (hunter-driven)
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting pitching negotiation closing
- Identify client pain points and propose tailored payment and cross-border solutions
- Lead commercial discussions, pricing, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Operations to structure solutions and onboard clients
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasts, and CRM updates
- Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities in payments
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of B2B sales / business development experience in the payments or fintech industry
- Proven track record of closing new business deals (hunter role), not account management
- Strong experience in selling one or more of the following:
- Cross-border payments
- FX / remittance solutions
- Payment gateways / PSP
- Merchant acquiring / collections solutions
- Demonstrated ability to build pipeline independently and consistently hit revenue targets
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of solution-based selling
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (English required)
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a high-performance, target-driven environment
