About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead sales and business growth for our AI-powered financial solutions. The BDM will play a critical role in expanding our footprint within banks, insurers, fintechs, and other financial institutions by driving consultative sales and positioning our AI/ML capabilities as key enablers of digital transformation, risk management, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
- Drive end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, prospecting, solution pitching, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets for AI solutions across financial services.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
Market Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify new business opportunities within banks, NBFCs, insurers, and fintechs.
- Establish and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders (CIOs, CROs, CDOs, Heads of Risk, Analytics, or Digital Innovation).
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging client needs.
Consultative Solution Selling
- Translate complex AI/ML solutions into clear, outcome-driven value propositions.
- Partner with solution architects and pre-sales teams to design tailored proposals, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
- Advise clients on how AI can optimize processes, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and enhance customer experience.
Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Build strategic partnerships with system integrators, technology providers, and consulting firms.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and R&D teams to align client feedback with
solution development.
Account Management & Retention
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring long-term engagement and customer satisfaction.
- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Support delivery teams in ensuring smooth implementation and adoption of solutions.
Thought Leadership & Brand Building
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and webinars.
- Contribute to whitepapers, case studies, and sales collateral.
- Share insights on financial AI adoption, regulatory considerations, and best practices.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales revenue targets.
- Growth in new client acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
- Size and quality of the active pipeline.
- Customer satisfaction and retention metrics.
- Strategic partnerships and ecosystem collaborations established.
Qualifications & Skills
- 510 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in fintech, AI/ML, data analytics, or enterprise technology.
- Proven track record of selling solutions to banks, insurers, or financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of financial services processes (e.g., credit, risk, compliance, fraud detection, customer analytics).
- Ability to articulate complex AI/ML concepts into business impact language.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
