Role Description
The Business Development Manager will lead sales growth for Agri - tech products and solutions focused on horticulture and fruit tree crops. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and strengthening relationships with growers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders, and effectively positioning solutions that enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability. The position requires a balanced blend of technical agricultural expertise, strong commercial acumen, and effective customer engagement skills.
Location: Thailand - Remote
Pay Structure: 30,000 TBH Per Month
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Agri-inputs or Agri-tech in horticultural crop.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in business development, sales and client relationship management.
- Fluency in Thai mandatory; English language is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture and fruit tree crops (e.g., durian, mango, citrus, banana)
- Experience in Local market analysis, identifying potential leads, and developing strategic plans.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for horticulture and fruit tree segments.
- Expand market presence by identifying and engaging new customers, dealers, and strategic partners.
- Manage sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and ensure consistent business growth.
Customer Engagement & Support:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with farmers, cooperatives, nurseries, and agribusiness stakeholders.
- Provide technical presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to highlight product value.
- Gather customer feedback to support product development and adaptation to local needs.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in horticulture and perennial crops.
- Identify growth opportunities and propose tailored go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns, events, and digital content targeting the horticulture sector.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with agronomy, R&D, and product management teams to ensure product-market fit.
- Support distributor training programs and strengthen channel performance.
- Contribute to internal reporting, sales analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
