As we continue to expand our footprint in Asia, we are seeking a high-caliber Business Development Manager/Director based in Thailand who will be responsible in leading regional growth across Asia, securing high-value development opportunities that expands Sunset Hospitality Group's portfolio across all divisions- including hotels, branded residences, restaurants, beach clubs, wellness concepts, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional growth exclusively across Asia, securing high-value development opportunities that expand Sunset Group's portfolio across all divisions including hotels, branded residences, restaurants, beach clubs, wellness concepts, and lifestyle brands.
  • Manage the full development lifecycle for multi-segment opportunities within Asia: sourcing, preliminary assessments, feasibility coordination, design workshops, commercial and contract negotiations, internal governance processes, and handover to the relevant operational or technical teams ensuring disciplined, accurate, and strategically aligned project progression.
  • Drive site identification and evaluation across Asia through feasibility studies, financial modelling, market research, and due diligence to identify opportunities that align with the group's long-term vision and accelerate regional multi-vertical expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships by negotiating with owners, developers, investors, and family businesses across Asia; collaborating with legal, feasibility, brand, operations, F&B, and finance teams to structure agreements that support sustainable and scalable growth.
  • Support Sunset Group's diversification strategy in Asia, ensuring new hotel, F&B, wellness, beach club, and lifestyle projects meet brand and strategic standards.
  • Represent Sunset Group throughout Asia at industry events, investor forums, regional conferences, and sector gatherings to expand visibility and unlock new development partnerships.
  • Lead and support a regional development team, offering strategic guidance, clear communication, and market insight to senior leadership while ensuring alignment between commercial growth and operational execution.
  • Oversee project delivery and quality control for all Asian developments, ensuring planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand and strategic priorities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in hospitality, real estate, lifestyle brands, or F&B development within Asia, with a strong proven track record delivering successful regional projects.
  • Proven ability to identify, structure, and execute high-value development opportunities across multiple business verticals.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities with Asian owners, developers, investors, and key stakeholders, supported by a well-established professional network across the region.
  • Strong experience negotiating HMAs, Franchise Agreements, Branded Residence Agreements, and F&B partnership/licensing deals.
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder development processes with precision, speed, and strong commercial acumen.
  • Solid financial and strategic understanding, capable of evaluating multi-concept opportunities.
  • Must be based in Asia (ideally Thailand).
