SkillLane is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (Sales) to drive the growth of our B2B learning solutions. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key corporate clients, and expanding SkillLane's presence in the enterprise market.
Responsibilities:
- Creative Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential clients using creative outreach techniques to build a robust pipeline and expand market presence.
- End-to-End Sales Ownership: Take full accountability for the sales cycle, from initial prospecting and creative pitching to negotiation and successful closing.
- Resilient Problem Solving: Demonstrate a never-give-up attitude; pivot strategies and adapt approaches quickly when faced with rejections or obstacles to ensure targets are met.
- Consultative Approach: Visit clients to deeply understand their specific pain points and requirements, offering tailored solutions rather than off-the-shelf pitches.
- Engaging Presentations: Develop and deliver visually appealing and persuasive presentations that capture interest and simplify complex solutions.
- Technical Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact to provide initial technical support and work closely with Product Owners to suggest product improvements based on market feedback.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary documents to support and streamline the sales process.
Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial Sales DNA: A self-motivated individual who is target-driven, resilient, and thrives under pressure with a strong will to win.
- Creative Mindset: Ability to think outside the box to bypass gatekeepers, handle objections, and find new ways to add value to potential clients.
- B2B Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development. Experience in SaaS or Corporate Learning/Education solutions is highly preferred.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to learn from failures, adjust tactics on the fly, and maintain high energy levels in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with Managers and Key Decision Makers.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and client needs to position products effectively against competitors.
- Mobility: Must have a personal car, a valid driving license, and a willingness to travel for client meetings.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in any field.
