The Opportunity
Thailand is a priority growth market for ISTARI, with a live pipeline of 70+ qualified leads and active opportunities at proposal stage across financial services, conglomerates, telecom, and government sectors. We are looking for a Bangkok-based Business Development leader to convert this momentum into contracted revenue and build a sustainable client base for ISTARI in Thailand.
This is a hunter-and-farmer role for a senior professional who thrives in high-touch, relationship-driven environments. You will serve as ISTARI's primary in-market presence - advancing the active pipeline, deepening institutional relationships, and representing ISTARI at the most senior levels of Thai business and government.
What You'll Do:
- Pipeline Conversion: Own and advance the existing pipeline of 70+ leads, supporting multiple active accounts currently at proposal stage across key target sectors.
- Lead Qualification & Development: Follow up, qualify, and develop inbound leads generated from industry events and upcoming institutional engagements, in close collaboration with regional leadership.
- C-Suite Engagement: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for key accounts in Thailand, managing high-touch relationships with CISOs, CEOs, and senior decision-makers across target sectors.
- Revenue Generation: Meet individual and team revenue targets; build a reliable multi-year pipeline in line with ISTARI's Thailand growth plan.
- Market Intelligence: Provide ongoing intelligence on competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and evolving client needs in the Thai cybersecurity market - including engagement with key institutional and regulatory stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- Business Development Experience: 8–12 years in cybersecurity services, technology sales, or consulting with a strong business development track record. Proven ability to close complex advisory engagements at C-suite level.
- C-Suite Network: Existing warm relationships across FSI, conglomerates, telecom, and/or government sectors in Thailand - a network that can be converted to pipeline immediately.
- Sector Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, and advisory services; able to translate technical solutions into business-value propositions for non-technical executives.
- Cultural Fluency: Deep understanding of Thai business culture and relationship norms; high personal credibility and the discretion required at senior levels.
- Languages: Native Thai and business-fluent English - bilingual proficiency is essential for this role.
- Collaboration: Experience working within international organisations; able to operate as a strong individual contributor while aligning closely with a global leadership team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree minimum in Business, Technology, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM) advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: Competitive, benchmarked against Bangkok market rates for senior business development roles in cybersecurity and professional services, inclusive of a bilingual English proficiency premium.
- Bonus: Performance-linked on-target bonus tied to individual revenue contribution.
- Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical and dental coverage, provident fund contributions, life insurance, and leave entitlement in accordance with Thai Labour Protection Act.
- Location: Bangkok, Thailand - remote-based with regular client site visits and travel as required. Target start date Q2 2026.
