Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Patong for a Chief Accountant at Mercure Hotels. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing budgets, overseeing financial statements, and supervising accounting staff. Additional responsibilities include preparing financial reports, coordinating audits, monitoring cash flow, and implementing effective financial strategies to support business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and skills in accounting, financial management, and tax regulations
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements, budgeting, and cost management
- Experience with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to a fast-paced environment
