CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - RETAIL/ FMCG - EXCELLENT PACKAGE AND BENEFITS

PRTR Executive Search has been appointed to identify a Chief Executive Officer for a large, Retail / FMCG organisation undergoing a fundamental shift in how it operates, grows, and delivers value.

The business is moving beyond traditional footprint expansion toward a performance-driven platform built on service reliability, infrastructure capability, and disciplined investment. They are seeking a leader who can redesign the operating model for scale strengthening execution consistency, improving capital efficiency, and building an organisation that performs predictably across a complex network.

This is a transformation mandate, not a continuity role.

POSITION

The Chief Executive Officer will define how the organisation evolves over the next phase of growth, shaping operating structure, investment discipline, and leadership capability. The priority is to build a highly dependable, scalable platform that delivers consistent service outcomes while ensuring resources are deployed with clear long-term value logic.

The role requires building systems that run effectively without constant intervention, supported by strong leadership layers and clear decision frameworks.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

  • Senior executive leadership within complex Retail or FMCG environments with distributed operations
  • Direct responsibility for operational performance, service consistency, or delivery standards
  • Experience managing capital-intensive or operating models
  • Proven track record scaling organisations through leadership teams, structure, and governance

LEADERSHIP PROFILE

The organisation requires a leader who understands performance at a system level how operational flow, constraints, and investment decisions interact to shape long-term results.

Equally important is leadership maturity: empowering teams, handling challenges constructively, and building trust across functions.
