About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader for our client to oversee the strategic direction, operational excellence, and growth of our Power & Energy Business. This executive role is responsible for driving business performance, investment initiatives, power generation operations, and long-term value creation while ensuring sustainable and reliable energy solutions.

The successful candidate will lead business expansion efforts, optimize operational performance, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the energy ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive business growth through strategic investments, partnerships, and new market opportunities.
  • Lead transformation initiatives to strengthen competitiveness and operational excellence.

Business & Operational Management

  • Oversee power generation operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, safety, and cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including plant availability, generation output, fuel efficiency, and operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Lead overall business profitability and financial performance, including P&L management and capital allocation.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases to support future growth.
  • Drive cost optimization and sustainable value creation across the organization.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, government agencies, business partners, investors, and local communities.
  • Represent the organization in strategic discussions, negotiations, and industry engagements.

Governance & Sustainability

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives and responsible business practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of leadership experience within the power generation, renewable energy, utilities, or energy sector.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale operations and delivering strong business performance.
  • Strong understanding of power generation, energy markets, investment evaluation, and business development.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational growth.

Employment Terms

  • Initial employment will be offered under a two-year fixed-term contract.
