About the role

Aspire is looking for a Chief of Staff to work alongside our Co-founder & CTO as his right hand and one of the most trusted operators to manage our growing Tech team.

It's a role with unusual breadth. You'll have visibility across the entire org, ownership of the problems that sit between teams, and a mandate to step in wherever you're needed most. In a single week you might design a new operating process, incubate an early product idea, drive an AI enablement program, and represent the CTO in an executive discussion. The remit is deliberately wide and rarely fixed. It will suit someone who is energised by ambiguity, trusts their own judgement, and takes genuine satisfaction in making a fast-moving organisation run better.

What you'll do:

• Own the operating rhythm of the Tech org. Run the cadences, planning cycles, reviews, and reporting that keep multiple squads aligned and moving in the same direction.
• Act as a force multiplier for the CTO. Prepare him for what matters, drive decisions to closure, ensure follow-through, and stand in on his behalf - including in executive conversations.
• Lead special projects and cross-functional programs end to end, taking them from an ambiguous problem statement to a measurable, shipped outcome.
• Identify and close the gaps. Recognise what isn't being owned and take it on before it becomes a problem, without waiting to be asked.
• Be the go-to person across the organisation, trusted by senior leaders and individual contributors alike.
• Move fluidly between very different problems - operational design, product incubation, change management, and executive support - often within the same week.

What we are looking for:

This role is defined by judgement, ownership, and trust more than by any single domain - but those only count when backed by evidence. You'll be a strong fit if you can point to:

• 5-10 years of experience, ideally from a consulting background, or as a founder, entrepreneur, or early-stage startup operator who has owned outcomes in an unstructured environment.
• A track record of owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems end to end - not contributing to them, but driving them to a concrete result with no playbook handed to you.
• Direct experience working alongside senior leaders - founders or C-level - where you were trusted with real judgement calls, not only execution.
• Clear evidence that you set your own agenda: you've spotted what needed doing and done it, rather than working through someone else's task list.
• The ability to earn credibility quickly with people more senior and more technical than you, and to influence them without formal authority.
• Comfort holding several unrelated workstreams at once, at a high bar on each.

This role probably isn't for you if you need a well-defined remit, prefer to go deep in a single field, or do your best work executing a plan someone else has set.

Not essential, but meaningful advantages:

• Fluency in product and engineering. A real understanding of how product and engineering organisations operate: the product development lifecycle, how squads ship, and the ability to run projects directly with engineers and PMs.
• An affinity for AI. The ability to drive AI adoption and enablement for non-technical teams and to lead AI change programs. Not just someone who understands how AI works conceptually, but someone who is a hands-on builder and has built meaningful solutions with AI
• Experience within fintech, technology, or a high-growth startup environment.
