Position Overview :
The Chief Project Engineering Management Officer (CPM) is a key executive leadership role responsible for the engineering strategy, design, and execution of projects in the industrial gas and climate technology business. The PEM oversees onsite supply, merchant gas, generated gas, and packaged gas project development, ensuring plant reliability, engineering excellence, and world-class technical service. This role requires deep expertise in gas plant engineering and a strong focus on innovation and sustainability to support the energy transition (e.g., hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable fuels).
Key Responsibilities
Project Development (TG, MG, GG)
- Lead engineering development of Tonnage Gases (TG) Projects (ASU, hydrogen plants, CO₂ recovery, HyCO, H2 SMR, Pipeline/Metering, ..,etc.), merchant gas (bulk) and generated gas (captive supply)
- Oversee project feasibility studies, process design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning support.
- Ensure projects goals achievement on cost, quality, safety, and schedule.
- Partner with commercial and strategy teams to develop BOO/BOT projects for industrial customers and emerging climate technology sectors.
Engineering Design & Innovation
- Oversee engineering design standards, process safety requirement, and technology selection.
- Lead adoption of digital engineering tools, simulation, and Industry 4.0 practices.
- Develop innovative solutions for hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable energy integration, and energy-efficient gas production.
- Ensure compliance with international engineering codes and standards (ASME, NFPA, ISO, API, DOT/ADR, IEC, etc.).
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and lead a high-performing Project Engineering team across regions.
- Collaborate closely with the CSCO (Supply Chain), CCO (Commercial), and CSSO (Strategy & Sustainability) to ensure engineering aligns with business and sustainability goals.
- Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with Major Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering or other related Majors.
- At least 15 years experiences in project & engineering execution management in oil & gas or utilities business
- Proven track record in plant design, engineering project management, and plant reliability improvement.
- Strong experiences with proven track record of Project development and execution management with project value not less than 1,000 million THB at least 3 projects
- Experienced with complex scope project management (multiple EPCs, ISBL/OSBL stakeholders, EPCM/PMC execution strategy)
- Strong knowledge of international engineering standards, safety and process safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in digitalization, Industry 4.0, and energy-efficient design a strong plus.
