Job Description:
- Prepare, develop, review, and approve civil and structural design deliverables including:
-Site development plans
-Equipment and tank foundations, tank bund
-Pipe rack structures, steel structure, operation platform
-Industrial and process buildings
-Drainage systems, roads, and platforms
- Prepare and check design calculations (steel, concrete, foundation, seismic, etc.) in accordance with international codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE, API, Eurocode) and client specifications.
- Prepare design basis, technical specifications, MTOs, and technical reports.
- Perform or review structural modeling using STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, and other relevant tools.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure integration of civil/structural design with process, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Lead and manage C&S design packages across all project phases (conceptual, FEED, detailed design).
- Perform or review structural calculations (static & dynamic loading, seismic, wind, blast, etc.).
- Review and validate geotechnical data, topographic surveys, and site conditions.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external parties including clients, sub-consultants, and third-party reviewers.
- Provide technical support during design reviews, model reviews (3D, BIM), and HAZOPs/constructability studies.
- Provide technical support during construction: respond to RFIs, resolve site issues, and attend site inspections.
- Review and approve civil method statements, material submissions, and shop drawings.
- Ensure civil works are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings and QA/QC standards.
- Assist in the preparation of design schedules and monitor progress of civil deliverables.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal quality reviews and client design reviews (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC).
- Support planning, estimation, and scheduling of civil deliverables and activities.
- Liaise with clients and contractors for technical clarifications and design approvals.
- Apply QA/QC principles in all design outputs and maintain proper documentation through controlled workflows (e.g., RFA, RFI, TRN systems).
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred), License Professional Engineer (e.g., PE, CEng, Thai License .)
- 5-7 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with at least 5 years in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
- Proven experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects (revamps, expansions).
- Proficient in design software: STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks (for clash detection)
- Deep understanding of structural analysis and detailing for both concrete and steel structures
- Familiar with drainage design, earthwork grading, and stormwater management
- Familiarity with international standards (ASCE, ACI, AISC, API, BS/EN, DEP, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients and teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Willing to travel or be assigned to project site offices when required.
- Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills
