Wood is currently recruiting for a Civil Supervisor to join our team for a major EPCM refinery project in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand. This role is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the opportunity to continue as an ongoing, longer-term assignment and is available for Thai Nationals

Responsibilities

What makes you remarkable

• Ensure that all construction contractors supervision and manpower are instructed in and comply with all aspects of the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and client requirements
• Ensure construction contractors working within the civil discipline adhere strictly to the latest Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, and site instructions
• Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities including site preparation, earthworks, piling, foundations, concrete works, buildings, steel structures, underground services, reinstatement, and pre-commissioning activities
• Monitor field construction progress and ensure all activities are completed in accordance with approved schedules, quality requirements, and project objectives
• Responsible for HSES and quality performance within assigned work areas and ensure contractors complete their work safely and efficiently
• Coordinate daily construction activities with contractors, subcontractors, client representatives, and project stakeholders to achieve project milestones
• Conduct site inspections, walk-downs, punch listing, and verification activities to ensure civil works are completed in compliance with project requirements
• Review construction methodologies, risk assessments, and job safety analyses to support safe execution of civil construction activities
• Identify and proactively resolve construction issues while providing technical support to the project team as required
• Promote a positive safety culture and actively participate in site HSES initiatives and continuous improvement activities

Expected

You must have legal working rights in Thailand. If you already have Thai work rights, we encourage you to apply.

Suitably qualified with a Vocational Certificate, Diploma, or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, you will ideally have experience in a Civil Supervisor role on major EPCM, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Power projects, supported by a minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience.

In Addition, You Will

• Have extensive experience managing civil construction activities including site preparation, piling, foundations, concrete works, buildings, structural steel, testing, walk-downs, punch listing, reinstatement, and pre-commissioning activities
• Have proven experience working on live plant, greenfield, brownfield, turnaround, shutdown, or revamp projects within heavy industrial environments
• Possess strong knowledge of civil construction drawings, specifications, General Arrangement drawings, structural drawings, and quality requirements
• Have good HSES awareness and commitment, including experience preparing or reviewing Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Risk Assessments
• Have sound technical knowledge of general civil works, foundation systems, underground services, reinforced concrete structures, buildings, and structural steel construction
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively supervise contractors and monitor compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements
• Be a proactive and self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Possess good problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a dynamic construction environment
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
