Job Description

Claims Team Lead – Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance

Who are we

These services have applicability across a variety of industries, including banking & financial services, insurance, retail, higher education, food, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Experience Required

  • 5 to 8 years of end-to-end claims handling experience.
  • At least 2 year of team management or leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of claims handlers/adjusters.
  • Manage work allocation, team productivity, and SLA performance.
  • Review complex claims and provide guidance on coverage and liability decisions.
  • Monitor quality, customer service, and operational performance.
  • Conduct file reviews, training sessions, and performance discussions.
  • Handle escalations and ensure timely claim resolution.
  • Support new transitions, workflow, SOP creation, and process improvements.
  • Prepare performance reports and communicate with stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance metrics. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong decision-making and escalation management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and operational reporting tools.
