Job purpose
The aCommerce platform monitoring engineers are key to providing a solid customer service experience
within a fast growing set of systems. The persons in this role will be part of the Data Center Engineering
team in charge of improving infrastructure and system monitoring to ensure service availability of
platforms that serve some of the biggest brands in Southeast Asia primarily hosted in Amazon Web
Services. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to experiment with newly emerging
technologies and practices while ensuring the cloud is a safe home for our customers and shoppers.
This is an entry level position and as such, we will love to train you on how to be a great Cloud
Operations Engineer. We adopt very modern development and operational practices that we wish to
teach to you.
Job Scope
. Monitor system health and perform troubleshooting on a daily basis.
. Works with a data center engineering team to improve the monitoring and capacity measurement
systems of the platform to ensure high availability.
. Analyze potential trends and find preventive measures of repeating incidents.
. Administration of user access controls
. Work with software engineering teams to improve application monitoring.
. Work with application support engineers to troubleshoot the ongoing incident.
. Provide suggestions for infrastructure and application tuning to improve stability and
performance.
. Execute changes to heal the system where a documented run book exists
Requirements
. Computer Science Graduate or similar work experience.(Open for fresh graduate)
. Ability to communicate effectively in written English as aCommerce works in multiple countries in
Southeast Asia. Oral English skills will be leveraged daily.
. Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems.
. Experience working with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
. Experience with containerization Technologies such as K8S, Cloud Foundry, Docker.
. Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues.
. Ability to work in a dynamic work environment using Agile lifecycle methods
