The Cluster Sales Manager Leisure is responsible for driving room revenue from leisure segments, including FIT/GIT, wholesale, tour operators, and leisure travel agents. The role focuses on building strong relationships, increasing market share, and positioning the hotels as a preferred choice in key leisure markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with leisure travel trade partners to maximize revenue.
- Act as the main point of contact for travel agents, tour operators, and wholesalers, ensuring timely communication and effective issue resolution.
- Execute a proactive sales call plan, including face-to-face meetings, virtual appointments, and on-site visits with existing and potential accounts.
- Conduct regular catch-ups with sales representatives to review performance, market feedback, and upcoming opportunities.
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Monitor market trends, demand patterns, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the Assistant Director of Sales and Director of Sales to develop and implement leisure-focused sales initiatives and tactical promotions.
- Support the strategic positioning of both properties within targeted leisure markets.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Reservations, and Revenue teams to ensure seamless handling of client requirements.
- Ensure sales commitments are aligned with operational delivery to maintain a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare regular sales activity reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
- Track account production, analyze performance, and provide actionable insights to drive revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate account data, including contact details, production history, and negotiated offers, to support strategic decision-making.
Networking & Relationship Building
- Represent both the hotels at industry events, trade shows, sales missions, and networking activities, both locally and internationally.
- Organize and conduct site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization trips as required.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, DMCs, and strategic partners to support leisure and group business.
Training, Standards & Best Practices
- Adhere consistently to established sales policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous development within the sales team.
