Job Summary
BDC is looking for an experienced COCC Manager (Campus Organization Control Centre) to be based in our Chonburi Data Centre. The role will perform the management responsibilities as a Critical Operation managerial role who provides day-to-day oversight and leadership towards the operation of ECC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage 24/7 data centre critical operations and engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations with a target of 100% uptime.
- Act as a subject matter expert for command centre operations and critical electrical and mechanical systems, and a commitment to achieving the goal of 100% uptime.
- Oversee monitoring, operation, and maintenance of all critical infrastructure systems including electrical (including HT, switchgear, UPS, DC battery systems, PDU and HT), mechanical (inclyding ACMV. computer room air conditioners, chillers, and hydraulic system), fire protection, BMS, and detection systems.
- Own command centre operations, including incident management, escalation, root cause analysis, remediation, and work order management.
- Ensure full compliance with customer SLAs, environmental conditions, uptime requirements, and incident reporting timelines.
- Implement and govern change management processes, including CRs, MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and LOTO procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and licensing requirements, working closely with EHS and relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs, annual maintenance plans, and capital expenditure plans for infrastructure upgrades and asset lifecycle management.
- Prepare and deliver operational, customer, and billing reports, including tracking key metrics such as power and water consumption, occupancy, and load factors.
- Lead, coach, and develop the command centre team through training, performance management, and 24/7 on-call emergency support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including 46 years in people management (mission-critical facilities preferred).
- Solid understanding of data centre or other high-risk, mission-critical operations such as power plants, oil & gas, or control room environments.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal), with experience in reporting, presentations, meetings, and training delivery.
- Good knowledge of local regulations related to facility engineering operations, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of critical systems including HVAC, emergency power, UPS, and risk management practices.
- Familiar with financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Proficient in CMMS and standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willing to provide out-of-hours and 24/7 on-call support, including onsite incident response.
