Role Purpose
The Commercial Solutions Manager will lead commercial strategy, manage complex projects, and drive revenue growth for building materials and solution-based products. This role requires a strong leader who can manage cross-functional teams, own end-to-end projects, and leverage an extensive industry network to win and expand key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Business Development
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow sales of building materials and integrated solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients such as developers, contractors, consultants, and architects.
- Utilize a strong personal network to identify new projects, tenders, and business opportunities.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
Project Management & Solution Delivery
- Act as project owner for assigned projects from pre-sales through execution and handover.
- Coordinate internal teams (sales, engineering, supply chain, installation, finance) to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Manage project risks, timelines, and customer expectations.
- Ensure solutions meet technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate commercial and project teams.
- Set clear targets, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Drive a collaborative, solution-oriented working culture.
Market & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the building materials sector.
- Provide input to product development and solution improvement based on market feedback.
- Support long-term business planning and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related fields.
- 812+ years of experience in commercial roles within building materials, construction solutions, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing large or complex projects end-to-end.
- Strong leadership experience managing teams or cross-functional stakeholders.
- Established network with developers, contractors, consultants, or key decision-makers in the construction industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven track record of revenue growth.
