Additional job description

Google is seeking a Lead Portfolio Manager for Energy Contracts and Asset Management to support the sustainable, reliable, and efficient scaling of its expanding data center footprint. Driven by the rapid growth of AI and next-generation cloud services, this role is critical in ensuring that physical infrastructure scales in alignment with the company's bold carbon-free energy goals.

In this position, you will manage a multi-region portfolio of power purchase agreements (PPAs), utility tariffs, and clean energy contracts. Responsibilities include monitoring asset performance, proactively identifying risks to capacity, and ensuring full contractual compliance. To streamline operations, you will leverage artificial intelligence and design automated, scalable tools that transform complex operational data into actionable business narratives for leadership.

You will bring deep expertise in Asia Pacific energy markets, particularly across project development, operations, supply contracting, utility tariffs, rate structures, and PPAs. You should be skilled at identifying operational improvements, scaling portfolio operations through technological innovation, and generating strategic insights to guide executive decision-making.

  • Synthesize large datasets of complex operational, market, and financial data into clear, compelling narratives and visual presentations that deliver actionable strategic insights back to the business.
  • Own and automate energy portfolios spend tracking, budgeting, and analysis to clearly communicate drivers of energy spend variance at scale.
  • Coordinate with multi-functional experts across Google (including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Site Selection, and Data Center Operations) to ensure alignment on energy goals and project execution.
