Wood is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Supervisor - Electrical to join our team for a large-scale challenging construction project. Responsibilities

What makes you remarkable

  • Supervise and coordinate all electrical commissioning activities for the Thaioil Clean Fuels Project (CFP)
  • Review, revise, and prepare commissioning procedures, method statements, switching orders, and test plans in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards
  • Ensure all electrical activities comply with project HSE requirements, safety regulations, LOTO, and permittowork systems
  • Verify installation completeness, conduct inspections, and manage punch lists prior to energization
  • Lead functional testing, energization, and commissioning of electrical systems including, but not limited to, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, MCCs, distribution systems, lighting, and heat tracing
  • Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, vendors, and owner teams to resolve commissioning and interface issues
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to commissioning team and subcontractors on site, including support to commissioning activities such as Mechanical Run Tests (MRT)
  • Review test results, ensure accurate documentation, and support preparation of asbuilt documentation and system handover dossiers
  • Interface with owner, operations, & turnover teams during inspections, energization, and system handover
  • Support startup activities and ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical systems

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • Appropriate level of commissioning experience in relevant industry sector, typically a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience if degree qualified OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 10 years relevant practical experience
  • Good standard of general computer literacy
  • Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge
  • Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation
  • Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan
