Job Description

The candidate will be part of the Corporate Compliance Office at CPF in Thailand, working as a team to ensure business operations in local and overseas comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

Legal Compliance & Advisory:

  • Providing legal advice and consulting services to various business units, particularly in food safety, agriculture, factory operations, environmental laws, and labor regulations.
  • Handling Non-Compliance Cases:

-Investigating cases involving potential violations of laws, regulations, company policies, codes of conduct, or internal rules.

-Collecting relevant evidence to understand the situation and establish a factual background.

-Analyzing legal implications, assessing potential impacts, and proposing solutions and preventive measures.

-Preparing detailed reports on non-compliance incidents and resolutions.

A Non-compliance case in this context means an incident that may arise from various sources, including government notices, legal accusations, lawsuits, consumer complaints, and negative media reports that could harm the company's reputation.

Legal Dispute Support:

  • Assisting business units in handling legal disputes by providing legal insights and recommendations.
  • Supporting the process of engaging external legal counsel for company representation.
  • Offering guidance on relevant laws, regulations, court procedures, and legal citations.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Strong communication skills, including email correspondence and conducting both physical and virtual meetings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both Thai and English, particularly in legal and compliance matters.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a recognized law school (experience in the field is preferred).
  • Strong research skills in legal and regulatory matters, including court citations.
  • Prior experience in litigation and/or dispute resolution, such as court proceedings and arbitration.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures and compliance frameworks.
  • Logical thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in both Thai and English for legal communication.
