Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Compliance Framework, Compliance Checklist, and Compliance Risk Self-Assessment
  • Manage the company's legal matters related to business operations and regulatory compliance
  • Provide legal opinions on company policies and activities related to internal control
  • Review and draft legal documents, including various types of contracts, and review promotional and advertising materials for legal accuracy
  • Prepare and manage powers of attorney (for BOD/C-Level), company registration documents, and business-related license applications
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies related to the company's business operations, such as the BOT, AML, OCPB, PDPC, and NCB
  • Conduct legal and compliance training for new hires and current employees
  • Stay up-to-date with laws relevant to the business and communicate key updates to relevant stakeholders within the organization
  • Provide legal opinions and report compliance-related matters to senior management and the Audit Committee

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Law
  • At least 5 years of experience in legal consulting, corporate governance, legal compliance, and internal control
  • Experience in the financial services, hire-purchase, or title loan business is a strong advantage
  • Licensed to practice law
