Construction Director

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute construction strategies, policies, and operational plans to support business objectives, growth, and long-term organizational success.

• Lead and oversee the full construction project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, to quality standards, and in compliance with safety requirements.

• Drive financial performance and profitability through effective budget management, cost control, cash flow oversight, productivity improvement, and margin optimization.

• Establish and maintain enterprise-wide quality, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of operational excellence, Zero Defect, and Zero Accident performance.

• Manage project risks, contracts, claims, and dispute resolution, ensuring commercial interests are protected and project risks are proactively mitigated.

• Oversee procurement, subcontractor, and supplier management, ensuring strategic sourcing, commercial competitiveness, and strong business partnerships.

• Lead digital transformation and innovation initiatives, including the adoption of AI, BIM, Digital Construction, and data-driven project management practices.

• Develop organizational capability and leadership talent, implementing succession planning, knowledge-sharing programs, and workforce development initiatives.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, government authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders, while representing the organization in high-level negotiations and strategic discussions.

• Provide executive leadership, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors, supporting informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Valid Professional Engineering License.
• MBA or Master's Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines is highly preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
• At least 10 years of experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously.
• M inimum 5 years of executive leadership experience in positions such as Construction Director, or Project Director.
• Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects successfully while ensuring operational and financial performance.
