- Background of consultancy assignment
Background
From August 2023 to February 2024, PSC Approach to Reducing Marine Plastic Pollution on Endangered Dugong Habitat in Thailand under the WWF Thailand successful conducted capacity-building workshops in seven schools across Kantang and Trang Municipality these Enhancement of Behavioral Change on Plastic Waste Management in Schools of Trang Province workshops enhanced students and teachers understanding of plastic pollution, waste sorting and sustainable waste management, through games, creative activities and interactive learning strengthened engagement and awareness.
The workshop aims to reinforce the behavioral change achieved during the educational workshops also create a sustainable system for waste reduction and recycling and empower students to become waste management leaders in their family and communities.
Following the workshops that were discussed with teachers revealed strong interest and readiness to establish school waste banks to continue practical learning and behavioral change regarding waste management, while two schools in Kantang were selected to continuous implement on school waste bank follow as Wat Trangkhaphum Phutthawat engaged over 110 students and teachers, also KhlongPasi school engaging over 328 students and teachers.
Currently, both schools have adopted measures to reduce plastic use such as replacing single-use bottles and promoting reusable carrier bags but lacks an organized system to collect, separate and recycle plastic and other waste materials within the school compound, while the establishing a School Waste Bank will fill this gap of the challenge to ensuring long-term sustainability and direct student participation in waste management.
- Objective of the consultancy
The Consultant Will
- Design and install the infrastructure for Wat Trangkhaphum Phutthawat School to support the School Waste Bank operation.
- Provide and deliver the necessary equipment and materials to support the operation of the School Waste Banks for Wat Trangkhaphum Phutthawat School and Khlong Pasi School. (Follow Annex 1)
- Conduct communication material for both school waste banks (Follow Annex 1)
- Scope of work
The consultant will carry out all necessary technical and operational tasks to design and construct the School Waste Bank warehouse and equipment as follows
3.1. Site Preparation and Design
- Conduct a site assessment at Wat Trangkhaphum Phutthawat School to confirm location, layout and dimensions for the waste bank warehouse size 46 m.
- Develop a design plan and layout drawing including storage area, safety and accessibility for student use.
- Obtain approval of the design and materials from the school and project focal point prior to construction.
3.2. Construction and Installation
- Construct storage shed/warehouse using durable weather-resistant materials
- Install waste sorting stations and shelves for recyclable materials.
- Provide and install signboards, safety signage and lighting connections if needed.
- Ensure the structure meets safety and standards suitable for school environments.
- Provide and deliver the necessary equipment and materials to support the operation of the School Waste Banks for both schools (Follow Annex 1)
3.3. Completion and Reporting
- Conduct a final inspection with the school and supervise to confirm completion and compliance.
- Submit a completion report including site photos, list of delivered equipment and summary of construction specifications.
- Conduct Communication materials include knowledge and promote school waste bank (Follow Annex 1)

- Required Profile of the Consultant
The Consultant Or Contractor Should Meet The Following Qualifications
- Based in or with operational capacity in Trang Province to ensure timely coordination and supervision on site.
- Experience working with local government units and schools is an advantage.
- Access to necessary tools, equipment and transport for construction and delivery of materials.
- Able to start work by 22 November 2025 and complete all deliveries by 9 December 2025.
- Budget
The total consultancy budget is
300,000 THB (Three hundred thousand baht) inclusive of professional fee, proposal submission
