Consultant to organize 20th Anniversary Earth Hour PR and Event
Term of Reference
Consultant to organize 20th Anniversary Earth Hour PR and Event
Supervised by: Oranit Bunyaprasit
Deadline: 24 February 2026
Budget: 300,000 350,000 THB
- Background of consultancy assignment
Since 2007, Earth Hour has been known for its iconic lights off moment, uniting people around the world to show support for the planet and raise awareness of environmental issues. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Earth Hour, a milestone that reflects two decades of collective action for our one shared home.
Today, however, we face a critical tipping point. Climate and nature crises threaten our planet, with the world on track to exceed the 1.5C limit by 2030 and nature declining at unprecedented rates.
The next few years are crucial. To avoid irreversible damage, we must stay below 1.5C and reverse nature loss by 2030. This requires urgent action from individuals, communities, businesses, and governments alike.
With this goal in mind, Earth Hour evolved in 2026 into the Biggest Hour for Earth, calling on people everywhere to not only switch off their lights, but also to spend one hour doing something they love and that is positive for the planet.
In an increasingly divided world, the Biggest Hour for Earth is a powerful moment of unityreminding us that protecting our planet is a shared responsibility we all must take part in.
