Job Purpose:
To drive sustainable productivity and operational excellence at Thai Poly Acrylic Public Company Limited by applying effective continuous improvement tools to reduce waste, defects, and conversion cost while improving efficiency, yield, and overall process performance. The role leads productivity improvement initiatives in close collaboration with Operations, Engineering & Maintenance, SCM, EHS, and Finance to deliver TPA's cost, efficiency, safety, and quality commitments
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead all process and productivity improvement sessions at TPA to deliver annual cost and efficiency improvement commitments.
- Identify, prioritize, and manage the improvement project pipeline, engaging Operations employees to apply Lean tools such as 6S, Kaizen, SMED, Poka-Yoke, and Karakuri across production and maintenance processes
- Contribute as a key member of the Operations leadership team to drive operational excellence strategies aligned with TPA's vision: Lead with Safety and Quality to embrace Innovation and Productivity Culture.
- Align with Finance and Senior Managers on productivity tracking to ensure full transparency and effective monitoring of cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare plans and budgets for operations-related improvement initiatives to ensure sufficient resources are available to achieve objectives.
- Ensure all activities comply with company standards for EHS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TIS 18001, and applicable local labor requirements.
Education, Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical) or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process or productivity improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
- Hands-on experience in developing and optimizing production processes.
- Challenging the Status Quo: Ability to question existing processes to find better ways of working.
- Resilience: Ability to handle pressure and drive change in a challenging industrial environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in English.
Knowledge:
- Data analysis and information visualization. Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or other process improvement methodologies.
- ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Change management, including Management of Change (MoC).
- Design of Experiments (DOE).
