Job Description

Destination Asia Thailand is seeking an experienced Contracting Manager to lead supplier contracting and portfolio management for transport, land services, and accommodation within our Leisure segment.

This role ensures our product portfolio remains competitive, high quality, and market-leading, supporting our clients with exceptional sightseeing tours, excursions, attractions, multi-day programs, transfers, and accommodation options across Thailand.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Strategy & Portfolio Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with transport, land services, and accommodation suppliers to secure the best commercial terms.
  • Drive product innovation by identifying new opportunities, experiences, and destinations with suppliers.
  • Align local product development with Destination Asia's global product strategy to support growth, repeat business, and profitability.
  • Oversee supplier portfolio management, including quality control and health & safety compliance.

Contracting & Commercial Execution

  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive rates, allocations, and release periods within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with dnata Central Ground Services (CGS) to deliver accommodation bed briefs in line with SLAs.
  • Ensure timely loading and accuracy of rates and product information in Salesforce and Travel Studio.
  • Support business development through negotiated discounts, overrides, marketing contributions, and value-add offers for campaigns and promotions.
  • Work closely with Sales teams to identify new opportunities based on market trends, competitor analysis, and site visits.
  • Provide accurate supplier data to reservations, operations, and finance teams to support booking processes and invoicing.

Supplier Management & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain the contract library and ensure accurate documentation and record management.
  • Conduct supplier audits and spot checks to ensure service quality and compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by ensuring products and suppliers align with responsible tourism practices.
  • Provide product knowledge, content, and imagery to support sales and reservations teams.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field (preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years experience in the tourism industry, including 2+ years in a contracting role
  • Experience working with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) or tour operators

Skills

  • Established network of tourism and hospitality suppliers in Thailand
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organised, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Strong communication skills in English (additional languages advantageous)
  • Proficiency in technology systems (experience with Travel Studio and Salesforce is a plus)
