Mizuho Bank Bangkok Branch is part of the APAC Mizuho Bank and forms an integral part of the overall Mizuho Financial Group, plays a central role in the local Thailand- and Asia-based business of Mizuho Bank, Mizuho Financial Group's core banking subsidiary. Mizuho Bank's presence in Thailand began in March 1982 with the establishment of a representative office in Bangkok. Currently, we have two offices in Thailand, one in Bangkok and another one in Eastern Seaboards, Rayong with almost 500 employees from Thailand and Japan driving our business and creating values with our clients for a prosperous and sustainable future.
Overview Of Division
This division oversees Core Banking Transformation in Bangkok Branch; governance, manages resources, risks, and dependencies to achieve strategic business objectives. Owning planning, execution, risk mitigation, and change management in alignment to regional/global standards, local regulatory needs, business objectives, and change management imperatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Core Banking transformation for Bangkok branch.
- Work closely various local, regional, and global office, including external parties.
- Ensure projects are well set up and structured for on time delivery within defined cost and quality.
Program Leadership & Governance
- Own the country-level delivery of core banking transformation from initiation to go-live.
- Act as the single point of accountability for program success in country.
- Drive country alignment with regional /global delivery contract and timeliness.
- Chair or co-chair Country Steering Committee and Working Group forums.
- Lead project team members including recruitment, KPI setting and evaluation.
Planning & Execution
- Lead Program planning, resourcing, budgeting, and risk mitigation for the country, aligned with overall APAC Program plan.
- Ensure effective management of dependencies.
- Manage vendor engagement and SI (System Integrator) activities at the country level.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Own communications materials and narrative to leadership and Steering Committee, with alignment to Regional Program Office and country leadership
- Consult with key local stakeholders across Business, Operations, IT, Risk and Compliance
- Ensure active stakeholder engagement, clear communication, and change readiness in country.
- Lead country-level training, UAT, and business cutover planning.
Reporting & Controls
- Track KPIs, deliverables, and ensure compliance with Program governance and controls.
- Escalate risks, issues, and decisions as per program governance.
- Report progress to Regional Program Office
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Business, or any related field
- At least 10 years experience in Core Banking system Project or Program Management for Corporate Banking, preferably large-scale IT transformation or migration
- Familiar working with Thailand banking regulations, navigating matrix structures and cross-border teams.
- Proficient in both Waterfall and Agile
- Strong leadership across IT and business parties
- Fluent in both English and Thai
- Preferred Certificate: PMP / Prince2 / PgMP / SAFe
