General Description
As a member of the Corporate Strategy Team, you will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of WHA Group's strategic direction and driving strategic business development initiatives across the Group's business hubs.
The role provides opportunities to work closely with senior management and business leaders on Group strategy, strategic initiatives, new business development, M&A and investment transactions across multiple industries and markets. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of assigned strategic projects and workstreams, develop actionable recommendations, and drive initiatives from analysis through execution.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
A. Strategic Planning and Performance Management
- Lead strategic analyses of macroeconomic conditions, industry trends, market dynamics and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities, risks and strategic implications for the Group.
- Organize and drive workshops to develop strategic initiatives, business plan and key deliverables in collaboration with senior management and business hubs
- Assist in Translating strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
B. Strategic Business Development
- Lead M&A, investment, JV and strategic partnership workstreams across the Group, from initial opportunity assessment through due diligence, negotiation and transaction execution.
- Develop transaction strategies, assess deal structures, and evaluate commercial and financial implications.
- Manage and coordinate internal stakeholders, business hubs and external advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with potential partners, investors and counterparties, as appropriate.
- Develop clear recommendations and present strategic proposals, investment cases and transaction matters to senior management, Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
C. Strategic Analysis, Research & Special Projects
- Provide strategic, commercial and financial analysis to support business hubs in areas such as customer development, market expansion and investment opportunities.
- Lead strategic studies and research on emerging industries, technologies, business models and market trends relevant to WHA Group's growth strategy.
- Develop high-quality management presentations, strategic recommendations and key messages for Management's internal and external engagements.
- Lead ad hoc strategic studies and special projects commissioned by senior management.
D. People Development & Organization Building
- Lead project teams and provide direction to junior team members across multiple strategic initiatives.
- Coach and develop junior members of the Corporate Strategy Team in strategic thinking, financial analysis, problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Contribute to strengthening the team's methodologies, knowledge base and capabilities.
Specific Qualifications
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Business Administration, Finance or related fields
- Typically 7–10 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, M&A, business development or related fields.
- Strong strategic thinking and business judgment, with the ability to assess complex issues and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including financial modeling, valuation and investment analysis.
- Proven experience in leading strategic projects, business development initiatives and/or M&A and investment transactions.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple business units and functions and perform well under pressure.
- Good presentation and communication skills in both Thai and English, with confidence in presenting and communicating with senior management.
