Overview
Our client is a leading publicly listed international logistics and maritime transport provider expanding its regional footprint. They are seeking a driven and strategic Corporate Sustainability Manager to shape their corporate ESG agenda, lead corporate governance (CG) initiatives, and elevate their global sustainability ratings.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Develop annual plans and execute strategic ESG and CG roadmaps aligned with business directions and long-term goals.
- Reporting & Disclosures: Manage data collection, analysis, and compilation for the annual Sustainability Report (including the 56-1 One Report) in accordance with global disclosure standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Direct annual stakeholder engagement initiatives and communicate ESG risk management and sustainability strategies to internal and external parties.
- Governance & Policy: Review, revise, and implement ESG and CG policies to align with global standards, trends, and legal frameworks.
- Assessments & Certifications: Coordinate with internal business units to fulfill questionnaires, complete external assessments (e.g., EcoVadis), and secure required sustainability certifications.
- Cross-Functional Advisory: Provide guidance and support across various departments to track, manage, and drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance.
- Project & Change Management: Oversee diverse sustainability projects within budget and scope, while raising organizational awareness and fostering a culture of sustainability across all business units.
- Executive Board Support: Prepare high-level reports, risk assessments, and presentations for the Board of Directors and senior leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7+ years of professional experience in ESG and Corporate Governance, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisor/leadership role.
- Prior background working within a publicly listed company is a plus.
- Hands-on experience preparing the Sustainability/ESG section of the Annual Report (56-1 One Report) and managing EcoVadis assessments.
- Proven track record in ESG strategy implementation, CSR, workplace environmental management, and CG process rollouts.
- Fluent command of English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
