Cost Accountant

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting team, closely supporting manufacturing operations. The role involves costing, financial analysis, and plant-related financial activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of cost accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed cost accounting for manufacturing operations, including material, labor, and overhead costs.

Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, identifying key drivers and recommending improvements.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the plant.

Collaborate with production, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost data and timely reporting.

Monitor and maintain inventory valuation and reconciliation.

Assist in internal and external audits as required.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, costing methods, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
