Job Purpose
To manage and continuously enhance accounting operations in full compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and group policies. The role focuses on costing, inventory control, and the timely preparation of accurate financial reports to support effective management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control system postings to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, particularly related to production and costing activities.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and fixed asset verifications to ensure consistency between physical stock and accounting records.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, analyze audit findings, and implement corrective actions related to inventory and production costs.
- Develop, review, and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with TAS and IFRS, with a focus on inventory and costing.
- Establish and improve internal controls and departmental procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure proper governance over inventory and costing processes.
- Manage inventory and fixed asset write-offs in compliance with company policies and applicable tax regulations.
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure accurate recording and control of inventory movements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members to ensure effective performance aligned with company rules, regulations, and group policies.
- Support and participate in special projects or ad-hoc assignments as assigned by management.
- Ensure ongoing compliance through the implementation of company guidelines, staff training, and regular monitoring of adherence to policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in cost accounting.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards, local regulations, and tax requirements.
- Experience with SAP / SAP HANA is an advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
