Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the pre-costing process for internally manufactured products by collecting, analysing, and calculating all relevant cost data.
- Maintain and enhance existing costing models to reflect current cost parameters and key cost drivers, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and implement costing methodologies for new and sustainable product developments in close collaboration with Product Management, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
- Review and benchmark cost calculations across different production plants to support effective decision-making regarding production location.
- Conduct post-calculation analyses to evaluate accuracy and identify opportunities to further improve models and inputs.
- Support cost calculation and production setup within the ERP system by performing regular cost updates for new products and product changes.
- Validate updated costs against expectations and coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., Procurement, Manufacturing) to resolve variances.
- Assist the Manufacturing Controller with quarterly and annual cost reviews, adjustments, and ad hoc analyses.
- Maintain and update costing-related master data to ensure system accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor trends and drivers of key cost components (materials, labor, energy, etc.) to assess financial and operational impacts and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting in response to business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Good command of written and spoken English (Must).
- 25 years of relevant experience in product costing, cost analysis, or manufacturing controlling, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of cost structures, costing models, manufacturing processes, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to break down complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments (e.g., Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering).
- Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SAP, MS Dynamics, and/or Power BI is an advantage.
