Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Management

• Profitability Oversight: Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability across all resort operations.

• Budget Assessment: Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections, identifying root causes for variances and recommending corrective actions.

• Strategic Solutions: Develop and implement proactive cost-cutting measures and clear cost-saving programs with defined timelines and assessment goals.

Procurement & Inventory Control

• Value Optimization: Assess all incoming products and services to ensure the best price and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

• Market Awareness: Remain acutely aware of market trends and new vendors that could impact resource costs.

• Compliance & Receiving: Ensure the Receiving Department adheres to all internal procedures and documentation standards.

• Inventory Management: Oversee monthly physical counts of storeroom stocks and outlet equipment to ensure accurate reconciliation with the general ledger.

Operational Efficiency

• Waste Minimization: Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste, particularly in high-impact areas like F&B, Spa, and Fitness.

• Interdependency of Costs: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers and how productivity impacts the bottom line.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Hospitality Expertise: Minimum 4–5 years of experience in Cost Control within a 4 or 5-star hotel or luxury resort environment.

• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Comanche (Front Office & POS/Inventory) is highly preferred. Ability to navigate and generate reports within the system is essential.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.

• Analytical Skills: Exceptionally well-organized with a strong aptitude for data and financial modeling.

• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to persuade stakeholders and lead cost-saving initiatives effectively.
