Job description:
- Propose maker layouts based on purchasing policies, considering target factors and evaluating QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery).
- Plan, establish, and promote mid-term and long-term motorcycle parts strategies
- Develop cost reduction initiatives for the Asia and Oceania regions through VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), cost benchmarking, optimal allocation, and volume consolidation.
- Analyze cost differences between new and base models to identify opportunities for cost improvement.
- Propose and discuss JP CKD, local, in-house, and outsourced utilization plans for new model maker layout decisions.
- Calculate part costs, propose and negotiate cost reductions with suppliers, and extend cost-saving strategies to overseas operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or cost analysis (automotive or motorcycle industry background preferred).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills (data analysis, cost comparison, basic statistics).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts) and other MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of data visualization / reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of supply chain / procurement processes.
- Strong presentation skills (PowerPoint, business reporting).
- Willing and able to work abroad on assignments (approximately 2-year assignments in Asian & Oceania countries.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, task priorities, and able to adapt to changing conditions.
- 2–3 years of experience in automotive industry purchasing functions.
- Good English communication skills (TOEIC 700+ preferred).
