Job Description
- Lead all cost accounting activities across manufacturing sites.
- Establish and refine standard cost methodologies for materials and production.
- Review resource usage, yield performance, and operational cost effectiveness.
- Oversee cost control processes covering labor, materials, and overhead.
- Conduct monthly cost variance evaluation and deliver insights to management.
- Prepare cost-related budgets, rolling estimates, and inventory forecasts.
- Validate accuracy of BOM structures and cost data within the ERP platform.
- Manage monthly inventory closing, cycle count oversight, and reconciliation.
- Support internal/external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Develop cost simulations and pricing models for new product initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost efficiency and accuracy.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Costing Manager should have:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Background in food production or export-driven businesses is preferred.
- Strong command of cost standards, BOM controls, and stock management.
- Proven capability in planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
- High proficiency in Excel for data modelling and cost evaluation.
- Strong leadership abilities with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and ability to work across multiple departments.
