Hyphens Pharma ASEAN's leading specialty pharmaceutical and consumer health care group, is expanding our operations to Thailand. The Country Business Unit Manager - Sales & Marketing & Business Operations role involves the overall accountability for the start-up of Thailand business operations, including building a high-performing sales and marketing team to launch a first in class therapeutic in dermatology, and to build a best-in-class dermatology franchise. The role also includes strategic planning, financial oversight, and fostering relationships with customers and stakeholders to strengthen company's reputation and positioning in Thailand. The role is especially suited for an experienced leader in pharma who seeks an entrepreneurial opportunity to build a business supported by the strength of an Asean-focused leading specialty pharma company.
Key Performance Indicators
- Set up the Hyphens Thailand dermatology sales and marketing organization recruit and cultivate a highly engaged, high performing team to launch a first in class therapeutic in dermatology
- Coordinate efforts with HQ staff to establish procurement, inventory management, HR, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices
- Develop the go-to-market strategy for portfolio and drive the business to achieve above the budgeted yearly sales and profit.
- Ensure the company overall gross profit margin and each key product net contributions are on an improving trend in value and percentage year by year.
- Elevate team capabilities and drive continuous productivity improvements
- Continuously look for and create new business opportunities for the company.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Business Planning
- Set the Hyphens Thailand business ambition, and lead the development of strategic business plan to deliver the ambition to include environmental scanning, identification of emerging opportunities, assumptions, and recommendations
- Lead team to develop and implement annual business plans
Financial Performance
- Responsible for delivering Sales Revenues, Budgeting of Expenditures and Profit and Loss of the business unit.
- Review and analysis of business activities, costs and operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Accomplish business unit objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
People & Team Leadership
- Overall team management. Recruit, train, coach team.
- Communicate strategies and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising performance.
- Developing a climate that recognizes and rewards contributions.
- Fostering company culture that embodies vision, mission and values of company.
- Enforcing HR policies, procedures and practices to the team.
- Manage Internal customers (staff) feedback and/or complaints
Customer Management
- Build and maintain good relationship with customers.
- Working together with the country team and partners (including appointed distributor) to strengthen customer engagement and expand customer base.
Others
- Build company brand by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintain quality services by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, minimum. An MBA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Business Unit management experience preferred. Experience in dermatology preferred.
- Proven track record of building and leading teams to deliver results
- Experienced in coaching sales and marketing teams
- Strong business acumen.
- English language communications proficiency.
- Good Problem Solving/Analysis skills.
