Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Country Director to lead a key regional or business unit within a globally recognized leader in heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This is a pivotal role for driving strategic growth and ensuring operational excellence, with full accountability for a multi-million dollar P&L.

If you're currently managing a country, this has the potential to cover regional scope across multiple countries. As there's offices across SEA, final working location can be discussed.

The Role

As Country Director, you will have full ownership of the P&L, focusing intensely on revenue growth, operational efficiency, and profit maximization. A core part of your mandate will be to develop and execute ambitious commercial planning and strategic business growth initiatives to capture market share and penetrate new segments. You will direct all commercial functionsincluding sales, distribution, and serviceensuring alignment with global standards and local market needs, while leading and mentoring a high-performing regional executive team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a decisive, commercially astute leader with a minimum of 10 years of executive experience (VP/MD level) in a related industrial sector.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • P&L Mastery: Proven success managing a substantial multi-million dollar business unit P&L, demonstrating quantifiable results in growth and profitability improvement.
  • Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of the construction industry, energy sectors, or industrial sectors.
  • Relevant Background: Direct experience managing a business within heavy equipment, capital goods, or building materials.
  • Strategic Acumen: Expertise in strategic business growth and market expansion in diverse, international environments.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
