Job Description

We are partnering with a globally recognised manufacturer of premium engineered products that supplies customers across international aftermarket and OEM markets.

With four manufacturing sites and a growing footprint in Thailand, the business is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of operational excellence, organisational capability and commercial performance.

This is a rare opportunity for a proven manufacturing executive to take full ownership of a significant operation, leading a workforce of several hundred employees across multiple sites while partnering with senior global stakeholders.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Global Director of Manufacturing & Engineering, you will have full responsibility for the Thailand business, overseeing manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, finance, HR and safety functions.

You will lead a capable leadership team while driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement.

Success in this role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution - someone who is equally comfortable on the factory floor, in front of OEM customers, or engaging with senior international stakeholders.

Key Priorities

  • Lead the overall performance of a multi-site manufacturing operation
  • Deliver strong financial outcomes with full P&L accountability
  • Drive world-class standards in safety, quality and operational excellence
  • Embed Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma disciplines
  • Improve productivity, efficiency and asset utilisation across the value chain
  • Develop leadership capability and strengthen organisational culture
  • Build trusted relationships with OEM customers, suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Partner with global teams to support new product introductions and business growth
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

About You

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering, Business or a related discipline
  • Formal Lean, Six Sigma or Operational Excellence credentials
  • Extensive experience leading complex manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated success with full P&L accountability
  • Automotive, OEM supply, industrial manufacturing or closely related industry experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and operational leadership capability
  • Experience leading organisational change and performance improvement initiatives
  • The ability to build high-performing teams and develop future leaders
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer engagement skills
  • A leadership style that values both people and performance.

Why This Role

This position offers the opportunity to lead a strategically important manufacturing operation with genuine influence over business performance, culture and future growth.

The successful candidate will join a values-driven organisation with a reputation for quality, innovation and manufacturing excellence, while enjoying the challenge and autonomy that comes with leading a significant international operation.
