Creative Director / Studio Leader – Hospitality interior design (Bangkok Based)

Our client is an award-winning, globally recognized interior design consultancy celebrated for delivering groundbreaking luxury hospitality across the Middle East and APAC regions. To support their rapid regional expansion and the scaling of their Thailand hub, they are seeking a visionary leader to lead their creative and execution engine in Bangkok.
The Opportunity:
As the Director, you will act as a critical strategic partner working closely with the group management level. You will spearhead a high-performing studio of 30+ design professionals, driving the design and execution of prestigious international giga-projects, luxury beach resorts, and high-end F&B destinations for elite global hospitality groups.
Job Duties:
- Formulate and anchor the primary design ethos, steering the creative trajectory for the entire Bangkok studio.
- Cultivate and empower the design teams, championing a workplace culture built on storytelling, pushing creative boundaries, and design brilliance.
- Work hand-in-hand with the executive team on studio performance, and confidently lead high-level concept pitches and present to global clients.
- Oversee all project phases—from initial conceptual sketching and material curation through to full construction documentation and technical execution.
- Collaborate with local production teams, M&E specialists, and cost consultants to guarantee flawless, technically feasible design packages.
- Review site progress and manage strategic contractor communications (RFIs, site instructions) to ensure absolute design compliance on-site.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of robust track record operating within a top-tier design leadership capacity (e.g., Head of Design, Principal Designer, or an equivalent executive role).
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a strictly related design discipline.
- A solid, proven portfolio focusing on luxury hospitality, 5-star hotels, beach resorts, or high-end F&B projects.
- Experience with Middle East-based hospitality projects is highly preferred and will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional history of strong conceptual thinking and spatial design, paired with a deep understanding of visual storytelling, material innovation, and construction detailing.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively bridge international design standards with a talented local design team.
- Highly proficient in industry-standard design tools, with a solid background in managing project proposals, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the confidence and charisma to articulate and defend design visions to executive stakeholders.
