Creative Strategist
marketyze is a performance-led growth marketing agency based in Bangkok. We combine performance marketing, creative strategy informed by data, and rapid testing to deliver our clients measurable results. At marketyze, we believe the best ads dont just look good, they drive results. As a Creative Strategist, your job is to turn insights into effective ad ideas that convert. Youll work closely with our project managers (PMs), growth marketers, and outsourced production teams and freelancers to craft scroll-stopping ad campaigns designed for paid platforms like TikTok, Meta, and YouTube.
This is not a role for people who just want to make content. Its for creative minds who are obsessed with what makes people actually consider buying, and who want to help shape the next wave of performance marketing.

What would I do as a Creative Strategist
- Research and understand your clients brand, products, audience, and business goals
- Join the pitching process to propose and shape the direction of each project to our future clients
- Lead brainstorms, ideate ad series, and script out ads in collaboration with the PM
- Create moodboards and visual references to align the team on creative direction
- Turn insights into briefs and into strong creative concepts that convert
- Collaborate with growth marketers to align on strategy, angles, and hooks
- Brief internal and external stakeholders, such as video editors, designers, influencers, and content creators
- Attend shoots or remote productions to guide execution when needed
- Write strong, concise ad copy that aligns with the creative strategy and performance goals
- Edit, design, and produce ads independently for fast turnaround or proof of concept, especially during early stages or when testing new formats.
- Analyze ad performance and identify creative improvement opportunities
- Stay on top of trends, formats, and winning styles in the world of paid content
- Share references, swipe files, and fresh ideas to fuel our creative process
- Align with our growth marketers to make sure you target the right audience with effective messaging
- Create performance reports and give insightful next steps to clients
How would you describe the right candidate for this position
- Has at least 1 year of experience in creative marketing or project management
- Is a strong writer, enjoys reading and is a clear thinker
- Is interested in the psychology of what makes people click, scroll, watch, or buy
- Understands how to identify strong hooks, customer pain points, and emotional triggers to drive action
- Has good creative taste; cares about what works as what looks good
- Is not only an idea generator but also capable of executing their own ads end-to-end (writing, designing, editing) when speed and testing require it
- Stays curious about trends in digital ads, TikTok culture, and performance creatives
- Can collaborate across functions and give thoughtful feedback to editors, designers, and other creators
- Is adaptable and resourceful
- Enjoys being on set, interviewing talent, or guiding production to bring your ideas to life
- Can speak confidently in brainstorms and convince others on your creative direction
- Looks for a steep learning curve and enjoys challenges, and is willing to take on responsibility
- Has working knowledge of creative tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite, enough to independently create and edit ads from start to finish.
- Is proficient in Thai and has a good command of English (written and spoken)
Do I need previous (digital) marketing experience
Yes, previous experience is required. If you cannot show at least 1 year of experience in creative marketing or project management, you can try to bridge the gap by showing:
- Similar projects or a related role
- A portfolio, or playground, where youve tested creative or campaign ideas
- Ad campaigns you launched, content you have edited or created, or a product you launched (your own or someone elses)

What can I expect working in Marketyze

- Competitive compensation: 25,000 - 35,000 THB gross monthly salary

What does the application process look like

- If you match our profile, we will promptly share a 40-minute online analytical test to test logical thinking in general
- Once you can score 12/20 or more, you will get a creative test focused on real parts of the job
- If successful with the test(s), we will schedule a first-round general interview with three people: our CEO, our creative director & partner, and our people ops & talent associate. If an in-person interview is not possible, the interview will be held online. The interview will consist of three parts: 1) your introduction, 2) questions from us to you, 3) questions from you to us: you can ask anything to anyone, as much as you like or time allows. Three sample mock-up interview questions to give you more context on how to prepare for your interview: Describe a time when you faced a significant challenge or failure. How did you handle it What are the three things you liked the most and the least about your current (or past) job What do you expect from an employer, from us During the interview there might also be 1-2 exercises or games we play to test your on-the-job skills and your critical thinking skills on the spot
- If successful on the first round interview, there will be a case study and a second round remote interview with our co-founder. The format of the interview as well as the line of questioning is identical to the first round, but here we will likely ask further on aspects of you we would like to know more about
- If successful on the second round interview, we might schedule a third round cultural fit interview with other team members. The goal of this interview is to make sure you fit well in our team & culture, and thus the line of questioning will revolve around establishing this
- As part of the hiring process, we will request 1-2 reference contacts from your previous roles, preferably supervisors or higher, for a brief call regarding your past work experience.
