POSITION OVERVIEW

Based in Bangkok, working closely with the Regional Cruise Director, Southeast Asia and the General Manager, Thailand, the Cruise Manager is responsible of the management of sales process for development and execution of all cruise services for A&K in Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries, leading the cruise team and communicating with cruise companies from around the globe to design exceptional bespoke activities and deliver impeccable experiences.

JOB DESCRIPTION(including but not limited to)

- Leadership role in the recruitment, training, development, and support of the Cruise team

- Assign & monitor all incoming requests to Cruise Specialists. Ensure that the task allocation is done in a fair and effective way

- Personal involvement in the bidding/quotation of the most important requests

- Collaborate where required with internal departments and suppliers to create competitive proposals

- Coordinate with Operations department

- Report and assist in resolving issues, from people management (conflicts, motivation, etc.) to Cruise Specialist cooperation (response times, quotation mistakes, etc.), and on-the-ground issues (supporting quay side operations)

- Maintain constant contact with the cruise teams in Southeast Asia to ensure services are being delivered as per A&K standards

- Ensure invoices from suppliers are checked and approved before passing them on to the accounting department

-Liaise with finance department for all payments and invoices to suppliers and agents.

- Coordinates port operations when required with suppliers or port authorities

- Create and sustain a highly motivated Cruise team, creating a culture of engagement and openness

-Participates in maintaining tour information, descriptions, and logistic details up to date.

- Improve the follow-ups and quality of replies for a higher conversion rate

PROFILE

- Passionate about travel

- Any citizenship

- Excellent command of written and spoken English

- Minimum 5 years experience with Inbound Tour Operator / Cruise a big plus

- Positive attitude, motivated, well organized, ambitious

- Good destination knowledge of Thailand and Southeast Asia (Cambodia in particular)

- Ability to work under pressure
