Job Description

1. About Instalimb

Instalimb Inc. is a Japan-founded med-tech company pioneering 3D printing and AI in prosthetics and orthotics. Since 2018, our mission has been to deliver high-quality prosthetic and orthotic (P&O) care faster, more affordably, and more comfortably to patients globally.

In Thailand, we are launching a technology-transfer initiative with international organizations and local partner institutions to expand access to modern, digitally fabricated prosthetic services for patients affected by diabetes, trauma, congenital conditions, and other injuries. Beyond manufacturing, we focus on technology transfer, education, and sustainable local capacity building.

This is a project-based, full-time position with an Indefinite contract.

2. Position Overview

Based in Thailand, the Customer Success Prosthetist & Orthotist will be a cornerstone of Instalimb's digital fabrication project. The primary mission is to train and mentor local partner facilities, provide technical and clinical oversight, ensure quality control, and support implementation of Instalimb's digital P&O workflow.

The role includes close coordination with international organizations, Thai health institutions, hospitals, universities, private clinics, and NGOs. In early phases, you will help localize product and process specifications to Thai patient needs, including elements of R&D.

Short domestic and international travels may be required.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Training & Technical Support for Partner Sites

  • Deliver structured training on digital P&O workflows (3D scanning CAD design 3D printing assembly fitting follow-up).
  • Use standard training manuals; conduct skills assessments and refresher sessions.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting and mentorship (in person and remote).

B. Project Execution & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with international organizations, Thai ministries/agencies, hospitals, universities, and NGOs.
  • Plan and track multi-site schedules; align with local/global Instalimb teams.
  • Prepare concise progress reports and implementation updates.

C. Clinical Engagement & Technical Supervision

  • Supervise/oversee patient evaluation, fitting, and follow-up at partner sites.
  • Guide safe clinical practice and ensure quality/traceability in the digital workflow.
  • Gather and analyze patient-reported outcomes and feedback.

D. Product & Process Localization

  • Propose adjustments to device specifications based on local anthropometrics, climate, activity levels, and component availability.
  • Conduct local materials/process improvement studies with the global R&D team.
  • Prototype and evaluate localized configurations with clear documentation.

E. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed training logs, clinical supervision notes, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Consolidate manufacturing documentation from partner sites.
  • Prepare briefings/reports in English for internal/external stakeholders.

F. Local Team Management

  • Manage local team members, including task assignment, progress monitoring, coaching and development, and role coordination.

G. Other Duties

  • Provide flexible support to ensure smooth project delivery, including logistics, trip arrangement, and research activities.
  • Provide interpretation and translation support when needed.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
4. Technical and Clinical Duties

Clinical Tasks

  • Patient assessment and P&O prescription support.
  • Anthropometric measurements; 3D scanning of residual limbs/body segments.
  • 3D CAD-based design of sockets/orthoses; alignment and trial fittings.
  • Post-fitting gait/mobility evaluation and iterative adjustments.
  • Patient education on use, care, and maintenance; home/community visits as needed.
  • Documentation of patient data, components, and adjustment history.

Fabrication Tasks

  • Interpret digital design specs; prepare tools/materials.
  • Process printer files; operate and calibrate 3D printers; manage consumables.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs; adhere to safety/ESD practices.
  • Assist with production scheduling and inventory control where needed.

IT Systems Support

  • Support rollout and training for Instalimb ONE (customer & production management).
  • Collect user feedback and implementation gaps; report to HQ for improvements.

5. Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements

  • Thai and English proficiency (oral and written)
  • Prosthetist & Orthotist qualification recognized in Thailand
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales or business development experience in the P&O industry
  • Management or team supervision experience
  • Completion of an ISPO-accredited P&O program
  • Experience in training prosthetists, orthotists, or technical staff
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printers and 3D CAD tools for P&O devices
  • Understanding of conventional fabrication methods (laminated sockets, pin-lock systems, soft liners)
  • Valid Thai driver's license for field-based activities
6. Employment Details

A. Contract & Compensation

  • Indefinite contract terms
  • Compensation: THB 360,000- 600,000 Annually
  • Travel and field expenses reimbursed as per company policy.

B. Working Hours & Leave

  • MonFri, 8:0017:00 (fixed, flexible work style is not permisiable)
  • Thai public holidays observed.
  • Probation: 90 days- 119 days.

C. Affiliation & Location

  • Employer: Employment contract concluded through DEEL as EOR, operationally reporting to Instalimb India Private Limited.
  • Primary base: Bangkok, Thailand (primarily at PBT Paramount Bed Thailand office, 1007 Srinakarin Road, Suanluang, Suanluang, Bangkok 10250), but this may be subject to change based on company instructions.
  • Domestic travel within Thailand may be required.
  • International travel (e.g., India) may be required for training/exchanges.

D. Safeguarding, Ethics & Safety

  • Uphold patient safety, dignity, informed consent, data privacy, and Do-No-Harm principles.
  • Follow all site safety and security protocols; complete mandatory training.
  • Adhere to anti-fraud, anti-corruption, and conflict-of-interest policies.
