Customs Compliance Manager
We ARE Renewables is looking for a Customs Compliance Manager for one of our clients.
This company is subsidiary group of this confidential well-known E-commerce company in China, focusing on industrial supply chain technology and service businesses, with an estimated valuation of approximately 3 billion RMB. We are committed to empowering the development of the industrial sector through the model of supply chain + technology + service and building a B2B industrial product procurement platform. Currently, they cover regions such as Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
Requirements:
- Hold the position of P7. Be capable of providing high-end customs clearance solutions in the local country, possess abundant customs relationship resources and professional experience, have extensive experience in addressing audits and responding to inspections, be able to lead teams, guide frontline customs operation staff, and formulate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Demonstrate professional competence in Harmonized System (HS) code classification, tax rate evaluation and regulatory compliance assessment. Have work experience in trading companies or third-party customs brokerage firms, with 5 - 10 years of experience in the industry;
- Be familiar with various trade methods and customs clearance solutions in the industry, and be adaptable to different situations. Possess the ability to analyze Thailand's customs trade and clearance policies, and promptly provide guidance for the internal implementation of such policies within the company;
- Have a good command of the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) application process at local country Customs, and be capable of leading the team and the company to complete the self-inspection and application for AEO certification;
- Proficiency in Chinese is preferred (given the relative difficulty in finding candidates with Chinese proficiency, it is set as a preferred qualification), while proficiency in English is a mandatory requirement;
- Possession of a customs brokerage certification is desirable (in preparation for AEO certification);
- Holding local nationality is a must.
Location: Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia
Working hours: 40 hours (office-based)
