Roles & Responsibilities- Manage and maintain firewall infrastructure, including BAU requests, firmware upgrades, hardening, and maintenance activities.
- Translate business and technical requirements into firewall policy change requests.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external providers to ensure timely completion of firewall changes within defined SLAs.
- Monitor security advisories and threat alerts; perform impact analysis and plan necessary remediation or upgrades.
- Plan and execute firmware upgrades with minimal or zero downtime; communicate and align with stakeholders when downtime is required.
- Support troubleshooting and technical investigations related to firewall systems.
- Track, manage, and report firewall-related activities, incidents, and operational metrics on a regular basis.
- Identify risks, issues, and delays, and escalate when necessary.
Skills & Requirements- 8+ years of hands-on experience in firewall and network security management.
- Strong experience with firewall technologies across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Good understanding of incident management and incident response processes.
- Exposure to multi-platform environments (OS, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures).
- Experience with additional security solutions such as Vulnerability Assessment (VA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Network Access Control (NAC) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
