Role Description The Cybersecurity Network Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bangkok, with the flexibility to perform some tasks from home. In this position, the specialist monitors and analyzes network traffic and security events, identifies vulnerabilities, and responds to incidents to maintain secure and reliable client infrastructures. Daily responsibilities include configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other network security tools, as well as reviewing logs and alerts to detect anomalous behavior. The role also involves performing regular security assessments, supporting the implementation of security policies and standards, documenting incidents and remediation steps, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to strengthen overall security posture. The specialist is expected to stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network defenses.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in network technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching) and experience configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and network security appliances.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and platforms such as IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions, WAF, Loadbalancer endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence services.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and familiarity with secure network design, segmentation, and access control principles.
• Ability to analyze logs and security events, investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and document findings and remediation actions clearly and accurately.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting) to streamline monitoring, reporting, and routine security tasks is highly beneficial.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+, CCNA, or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity and network administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Professional proficiency in English; Thai language skills are an advantage for local client communication.
