Position : Data Center EHS Specialist
Location: CPGC Industrial, Rayong, Thailand
The Data Center EHS Specialist is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs within a mission-critical Data Center environment. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, corporate EHS standards, and industry best practices while supporting safe operations for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
EHS Compliance & Governance- Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health, safety, environmental, and fire safety regulations
- Implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures, standards, and programs aligned with company and Data Center operational requirements
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments from internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation, permits, incident reports, and compliance records
Risk Assessment & Hazard Management- Conduct routine risk assessments, hazard identification, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for Data Center activities
- Perform regular site safety inspections across white space, electrical rooms, battery rooms, mechanical plants, loading docks, and construction areas
- Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor high-risk activities including:
- Electrical work and switching operations
- Working at height
- Confined space entry
- Hot work activities
- Lifting operations
- Chemical handling and fuel systems
- Contractor maintenance activities
Operational Safety Support- Partner closely with Data Center Operations, Facilities, Engineering, Security, and project teams to ensure safe execution of critical activities
- Support permit-to-work (PTW) processes and contractor safety management
- Participate in change management reviews and operational readiness assessments
- Ensure vendors and contractors comply with site EHS requirements and safe work practices
Incident Management & Emergency Response- Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
- Report safety incidents, near misses, and environmental events in accordance with company procedures
- Participate in emergency preparedness programs including fire drills, evacuation exercises, and business continuity support
- Support emergency response coordination during critical incidents
Training & Safety Culture- Conduct EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness training for employees and contractors
- Promote proactive safety behaviors and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support development of a positive safety culture within a 24/7 mission-critical operational environment
- Track training compliance and competency requirements
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA / OSH / NEBOSH / IOSH certification or equivalent safety qualification
- First Aid / CPR certification preferred
- Fire safety or emergency response training is an advantage
