Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning and testing of complex mechanical systems for data center projects. This role involves developing test scripts, executing commissioning plans, and ensuring compliance with industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Contract Duration: 1 year (may be able to extend after for same/other data center projects)
Base Location: Chon Buri, Thailand
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute full lifecycle commissioning for critical facilities.
- Review project drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs.
- Develop and implement MEP test and operating procedures.
- Witness static and dynamic testing of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Prepare reports, punch lists, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Utilize test equipment for data logging (temperature, humidity, etc.).
- Maintain documentation including meeting minutes and condition surveys.
Technical Expertise
- HVAC systems (all types), chilled water distribution, and cooling towers.
- Chiller systems (water-cooled and air-cooled), AHUs, and fan coil units.
- Process water systems, air humidification, and fuel transfer systems.
- Control and instrumentation (SCADA, PLC, BMS, EPMS).
- Network protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet).
- Ability to interpret raw signal data for temperature and humidity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with data center/mission-critical environments and building management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
