Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Center Onsite Operation Supervisor to join the GMI Global Infrastructure team, responsible for supervising daily data center operational activities and onsite operators to ensure stable, secure, and compliant operations. This role focuses on operational execution, SOP compliance, incident coordination, asset management support, physical security operations, and basic monitoring of data center facility infrastructure and MEP systems.

Preferred Location: Bangkok, Thailand.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise daily onsite operator activities and shift operations
  2. Ensure SOPs and operational procedures are properly followed
  3. Coordinate incident handling and escalation activities
  4. Support rack & stack, cabling, hardware installation, and decommission activities
  5. Support asset management activities, including inventory tracking, asset movement, and documentation maintenance
  6. Support physical security operations, including visitor/vendor access coordination and access control procedures
  7. Monitor and report abnormal conditions related to data center infrastructure and facility environments
  8. Coordinate operational activities with internal teams, vendors, and facility teams
  9. Maintain operational logs, checklists, reports, and documentation
  10. Provide operational guidance and support to onsite operators

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience in data center operations or infrastructure operations
  2. Experience coordinating or supervising operational activities
  3. Familiarity with data center operational procedures and daily operation workflows
  4. Basic understanding of MEP systems, including UPS, cooling systems, PDUs, generators, and fire suppression systems
  5. Familiarity with asset management and physical security operations
  6. Experience with incident handling and escalation processes
  7. Familiarity with ITSM or ticketing systems
  8. Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux, and networking concepts
  9. Strong communication and coordination skills
  10. Ability to work in a 24x7 operational environment
  11. Preferably with Occupational Safety and Health First Aid Personnel certification, Fire Safety Manager certification
  12. Must be fluent to communicate in English (written and spoken); preferably conversational in Mandarin Chinese to support APAC stakeholders and vendor interactions.
